Tonight I decided to indulge in a glass of wine and so that is my inspiration for my blog post. I am not sure what happened, but since having my first baby my hormones went crazy and I really struggled to enjoy a glass of wine without a massive headache following, it would only take a few sips for the effects to happen with many. And so I discovered organic wine.
I came across Settlers Ridge many years ago when we were on a holiday in the fabulous Margaret River region in WA and we drove past the store in a little town and I made the man of the house come to a screeching halt and turn around so I could go back and sample organic wine (we had the same incident when we passed the cheese factory, oh and the chocolate factory, lolly shop – you get the picture).
Organic and non preservative free wine means I can enjoy a glass without a blinding headache and so hence are are some things red and white in celebration of wine.
With the warmer weather occurring in a lot of areas, it is difficult to dress your baby in something cool, yet much funkier than a plastic nappy and plain singlet. This is probably where my attraction to Modern Cloth Nappies came from, something I could dress my baby in that looked good and yet still keep him cool (yes, I am sorry, my reasons for going to cloth nappies was not an environmental nor choice one, it was purely a fashion one).
So today I thought I would have a look around as some handmade singlets to keep baby cool on those hot summer days and surprisingly I struggled to find a lot of different things out there.
Dot singlet and Bloomers available on Made it by Wild Things of Noosa. Bloomers are a great you can cover up that pesky nappy and they are cool and comfy for your baby.
The very cute short set is this Olive Rose short set from Ollie Rose.
This Vintage Flower Tank top is by Inretrospect.
A tank top with a difference is this crocheted sleeve top from Ivy Designs. Featuring a cute little button, it is simple yet very sweet.

Home alone on a Saturday night I am listening to music, which I rarely get a chance to do without the constant “mum” interuptions.
My music of choice tonight is Kenny Wayne Shepperd, a bit of the blues, although I am not blue today, more in a rock and roll mood (though kind of hard to be too rock and roll when you are a mum, home alone in your jammies on a Saturday night ).
And so is tonights inspiration ROCK AND ROLL………………
Any good aspiring rock parent should head straight to, Rock Your Baby of course when looking for absolutely funky wear! If anyone from my family are reading my boys NEED a pair of those jeans!
These coveralls are by Chillibub Clothing, and in that funky leopard print are bound to make your baby the coolest in the sandpit this summer.
Little boys need a rough and tough shirt for this summer and Ruffian Industries have some fantastic shirts for the up and coming rock star in your life such as this Butch Shirt.
I also happen to love the Australian label Monster Baby, it is edgy, unique and bound to draw attention. Some are not for the faint hearted, but I do love this one featuring Mr T (hint hint family).
And lastly something for those that want that rock and roll look but to still retain a bit of sweetness, is this Sugar Skulls Skirt Set from Ollie Rose.
Well it is nearly 8.30 pm here, and time for this rock and roll mum to be not quite so cool and get ready for bed!
